After seeing a recent decline in the number of alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes resulting in property damage from 2015 to 2016, there was an increase in 2017 with 548 alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes resulting in property damage.

Property Damage Motor Vehicle Crashes that are Drug-Related
Drug-related motor vehicle crashes that result in property damage have been rising since 2007. From 2013-2017, there were an average of 62 drug-related crashes each year that resulted in property damage.

Substances Involved in Property Damage Motor Vehicle Crashes
In 2017, motor vehicle crashes resulting in property damage were over 10 times as likely to involve only alcohol than to involve only drugs.
