Number of Persons Injured in Alcohol-Related Motor Vehicle Crashes
Following a decrease in the number of people injured in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes from 2012-2014, the number of injuries has increased again from 2015-2017. There were 437 persons injured in alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes in Kent County in 2017.

Number of Persons Injured in Drug-Related Motor Vehicle Crashes
The number of persons injured in drug-related motor vehicle crashes has been increasing since 2014, with 104 people injured in 2017. From 2013-2017, an average of 69 persons were injured each year in drug-related motor vehicle crashes.

Substances Involved in Motor Vehicle Crashes Resulting in Injured Persons
In 2017, motor vehicle crashes that resulted in injured persons were over 7 times as likely to involve alcohol, compared to drugs.
