14.2% of high school students indicated they had ridden in a vehicle driven by someone who had been drinking in the past month. Males and females were nearly equally likely to have ridden in a vehicle driven by someone who had been drinking.
3.8% of high school students indicated that they had driven a car or other vehicle when they had been drinking. Males (5.2%) were more likely than females (2.5%) to report driving a vehicle when they had been drinking.
